Coming together for a Big Lunch beach clean
01.06.26
Clean Cornwall has taken part in this year's Big Lunch and Big Help Out celebrations by hosting a community beach clean in partnership with Eden Project Communities.
Despite the typical Cornish weather, 21 people joined us for a litter pick and picnic, coming together to make a positive difference for our local environment while celebrating the power of community action.
The event formed part of the national Big Lunch and Big Help Out initiatives, which encourage people across the UK to connect with their neighbours, volunteer and take part in activities that strengthen local communities. We were proud to play our part by combining community spirit with practical environmental action.
Volunteers spent time helping to clean the beach before gathering together to enjoy a soggy picnic.
A huge thank you to everyone who came along and took part. We would also like to thank Biffa for providing equipment and waste collection support, and the Learn Your Way team from Cornwall Rural Community Charity for joining us and helping make the event such a success.
