Businesses in Cornwall pledge to make change

On 26th April the Clean Cornwall Change Maker network came together for our third official business event. Generously hosted by the Mount Pleasant Eco Park, the session was a success with each business producing an environmental pledge to show their willingness and plans to strive for a greener future.

Thank you to our fantastic speakers Delia Webb, Tina Robinson and Claire Wallerstein for highlighting the many environmental challenges that Cornwall's ecosystems are currently facing. It was concerning to learn more about the depletion of our local environment, yet brought to our attention the urgency and importance of sustainability and conservation.

We would also like to thank Chris Phillips from the University of Exeter for his enlightening presentation on circular economy and how we can achieve it step-by-step. Chris shared valuable expertise with the network which helped to inform our environmental pledges to be as realistic as possible.

We will be checking in on the progress of the business pledges at our next event, so keep updated with the latest Clean Cornwall news to find out which Change Makers are taking real steps towards improved sustainability. Thank you to all that attended, it was fantastic to meet everyone and we look forward to seeing you at the next event.
