About Us

Clean Cornwall is an environmental project that has been working with communities for more than 15 years to tackle environmental issues in Cornwall. We focus primarily on litter and waste, facilitating groups and individuals to organise litter picks in hundreds of unique locations across Cornwall.

With the support of Biffa and Cornwall Council, we allow groups to loan litter picking equipment for free and have the litter collected post-pick. Along with other benefits such as public liability insurance, this service allows volunteers to organise and conduct more than 270 litter picks in 2022 alone, removing more than 1800 bags of litter from our local ecosystems.

Despite the small scale of our operation, for each pound that is invested in Clean Cornwall, we return a social value of £7.57 through our litter picking services, regular events and educational workshops. Our services help thousands of volunteers each year to get outside, get active, socialise and benefit their local area. Litter picking opportunities have an undoubtedly positive effect on volunteers’ mental health, physical health and general wellbeing, so we are proud to support the continuation of these services. The formation of regular litter picking groups across Cornwall has also helped to strengthen Cornish communities and provide vital social opportunities in rural areas.

We also provide the community with free educational workshops, opportunities for collaboration, a growing sustainable business network and involvement in other environmental projects and groups. You can support Clean Cornwall by donating today, to ensure that our services will continue to benefit the county for years to come.
